About Jackie Bowman
Jackie Bowman is team Rutkowski’s Funding Coordinator. Funding is one of the most important steps in creating an estate plan and she coordinates the retitling of assets into trusts created by Rutkowski Law Firm. If financial institutions are not contacted to connect a client’s assets to their trust, then the trust will not provide the asset protection they are meant to. Drafting the funding instruction documents and having virtual funding meetings with her client families is Jackie’s primary focus and her favorite part of the job.
Jackie has extensive Human Resources Management experience she utilized to launch HR departments in prior to joining Rutkowski Law Firm. One of her favorite roles was working as the Service Center and Benefits Coordinator at St. Joseph Mercy hospital. Jackie was the first point of contact and committed to ensuring the needs of employees, doctors, and employment seekers were taken care of. One of her primary objectives was coordinating with finance and healthcare vendors to prepare the hospital for open enrollment periods. Jackie’s experience working with these agents and advisors has provided her with the training and background to coordinate with our clients, their families, and their respective financial institutions to complete the funding process.
Growing up in the Gaylord area, Jackie comes from a family of entrepreneurs and spent some of her favorite times north of the bridge in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She attended Northern Michigan University and Schoolcraft College. Jackie is passionate about traveling and after seeing many parts of the world, has decided to turn her travels stateside and spends her time visiting different areas in the United States by way of her RV. Luckily this RV came outfitted with the ability to work on Wi-Fi and allows Jackie to take full advantage of our virtual process by working from wherever she is parked.
Jackie volunteers with an organization called “A Year to Volunteer” where she can continue traveling across America and work as a volunteer for groups that need volunteer staff. She worked in Florida Caverns State Park to help rebuild RV campsites, equestrian sites, and facilities used by the Boy Scouts that were impacted by Hurricane Michael. Jackie also worked as a volunteer through this program to help rebuild a youth center at a church in Texas after it was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey.
Two years ago, she sold everything she owned except what she could fit into a twenty-five-foot motorhome. She departed from her home in Traverse City to explore the U.S. while working remotely. She has a full office on board and loves being able to wake up surrounded by mother nature in the motorhome she affectionately named “Half-Pint”.
